EastEnders Return For Nick Cotton



EastEnders legend Nick Cotton, played by actor John Altman, is to make a dramatic return to Albert Square at Christmas. He was last seen in 2001 when his screen mother Dot Cotton (June Brown) disowned him.

Nick was responsible for his own son's death after cutting the brake cables on Mark Fowler's (Todd Carty) motorbike. He had intended to kill Mark, but it was Dot's grandson Ashley (Frankie Fitzgerald) who rode the bike and died. Following the death, a heartbroken Dot washed her hands of her only son. Since leaving Albert Square, Nick has spent time in prison for various drug-related offences. In 2006, he was given an off-screen storyline that depicted him with cancer. He went on to make a full recovery.

Speaking of his return, John Altman said: "After an absence of seven years, I am thrilled to return to Albert Square. The BBC have always given me great storylines as Nick Cotton and I look forward to seeing if Nick will once again spread fear and loathing throughout the Square." Haha! Great, he should stir things up a bit. Shame there's no one like Mini-Den to kick his butt. Jack maybe? can't see Bradley stepping in somehow (bless his little cotton socks) Cotton. Gettit?
